Nerdgasm Update
So we're going.
Yeah, that's right, we spontaneously decided to drive to Seattle to catch the below-mentioned geekfest. As Battlestar Galactica and Mass Effect collide, we simply couldn't miss out. The tickets are booked, new tires are on the car and we're making plans for the ultimate geek roadtrip with Vanessa and Tony in the car with us.
Wow.
Photos (and maybe explanations for why we've been so silent on the blog) will follow next week.
Huzzah!

Anyone know how BSG is going to be affected by the writers guild strike?
I suspect not for a couple of reasons:
1) I think this season is all filmed (or at least written), so this season shouldn't be affected
2) Since this is the last season, we won't have to worry about a major delay in future BSG (only spin offs)
Ram Lover? Ewww...
Um...you know they're going to extend the last season until 2009, right?
Really? Cool.
Then let's hope it doesn't get affected by the strike.
It's the writers that make that show pretty great.
I'm sorry. But what is Mass Effect and what does it have to do with Battlestar Galactica? And if Mass Effect is indeed a video game, as the website suggests, then are you going to Seattle to play a game, to watch BSG, or... what??
Please enlighten. Apparently there are some things that an almost-PhD in English can't help me with.
MASS EFFECT?!!???
How can you not know what Mass Effect is? I've been personally working on it for the last year, and BioWare has had it in production for the last 3 (give or take). Fair enough, if you're not a huge videogame fan, this might have slipped by, but it is up for about 5 different types of prestigious awards, including Game of the Year, and RPG of the Year, and XBox 360 Game of the Year. It will be released on the 20th of this month, but because it is so awesome, and perhaps the greatest science fiction/space fantasy ever told, BSG decided to capitalise on that and join our hype for their little show. So, they may get to see some gameplay, but it is doubtful that they will be able to play... (but I might be wrong...)
To call me "not a huge videogame fan" would be quite the understatement.
Arone, sorry if you took personal offense to my ignorance. Now you know how I feel when someone asks, "Who's Jane Austen?"
Sorry. My sarcasm doesn't work well online. No offense taken, or meant.
