A late Obama post

I'm sure you've all seen the now iconic Obama Hope/Progress poster.

I was hoping when we went to Seattle we would see some election material. We spotted the Obama poster at a tiny coffee shop in Seattle. I love that it's beside a Bobby Kennedy poster.

And if you haven't read Newsweek's behind the scenes account of the election, go now. It's ridiculous how much the reporters' were allowed to see and report.

The newsweek stuff is amazing, but what's really insane is that they didn't print any of it until *after* the election -- not that we needed to know any of it. Jon Stewart had the editor on his show last week, and asked him about it.. the guy waffled on about how embargoed stuff is the only way to get such access, but I don't think he convinced anyone... Cool poster tho. There were tshirts and stuff in New York when I went, but I couldn't be bothered to buy anything... kind of regret it now... would have made good christmas presents... I'm sure my dad would have LOVED a tshirt...

I agree with Nicole re: Newsweek.

When I was in Chicago at the beginning of October, the B&B I stayed at had an Obama sign in the front foyer, but the only signs I saw outdoors were two McCain (!) signs on balconies, which I saw from the L-train.

Also, in Barnes and Noble, I saw an Obama paper doll book. It included inaugaration outfits for Michelle and the girls.
